Camp thank-you letter

 We have been doing thank-you letters to people who helped on camp. We have worked on these for a while. Thank you  parents who helped make our camp possible!!

Sailing the Pacific!

We have been learning about navigating. I decided to focus on clouds here are some facts that I found out .

The thing that I found tricky was probably also finding the facts because The website that we used didn't have many facts that on clouds and the one or two that they did have were very hard to understand.

The thing that I enjoyed was scanning  for facts in our group reading book.(I love books.)  

Kuaka

 We are learning to use visual language features to support our understanding of the ideas and information in the text.

The thing that I enjoyed was the feeling I got when found heaps of interesting words.It felt like a warm tingly feeling like snuggling into a warm woollen blanket on a cold day.

The thing that I found tricky was finding the information.I couldn't find any information that interested me, until I found these three facts.

Read, Read, Read!!!!!

WOW that's amazing! The Kraken can sink whole ships.

Yuck, gross! Kraken's are described as giant octopuses.(I don't like octopuses.)

I don't believe it! Kraken's  can brake whole ships!!

Animal X Factor

What did I enjoy? I enjoyed doing the Alphabet A-B Brainstorm.I also enjoyed doing the writing.
What was tricky?The thing that was tricky was the research.It was tricky because I had trouble finding the place to get the information.
What could I do better next time? The thing that I could do better is making my slide more interesting.

Diabetes

What did I learn from reading this text?I learnt that there is about one thousand children living with type one diabetes.I also learnt that diabetes cant be cured.

What did I enjoy?I enjoyed reading the text to find fact's.I also enjoyed doing the writing.


What was tricky?The thing that was tricky was the learning and keeping up and trying to get finished on time.

What could I do better next time?The thing that I could do better next time is add more facts.I also could of concentrated better.

Connected L2 2015 - Why do our muscles get tired?

WALT use our reading strategies to find information in the text.

 The thing that I learnt was that a way to beat muscle fatigue is exercising.I also learnt that Muscles need oxygen and energy to work.What did I enjoy?I enjoyed doing the tricky parts of my learning because I liked the times when I believed in myself.
What was tricky?The thing that I found tricky was finding the answers to the questions.
What could I do better next time?The thing that I could do better is understand more words because I cant remember much of the meanings.

Celebrating Puanga at Ramanui

WALT find out what students at one school do to celebrate the Māori New Year. WALT to use the main ideas to summarise the text.

The thing that interested me was learning that in Taranaki you cant see matariki.The thing that I enjoyed the most was doing the reading.The thing that surprised me was that puanga marks the start of the moari new year.The thing that I found hard was the writing because I kept getting distracted.The thing that I found easy was doing the rereading.The thing that I think I can extend myself in is the writing because I struggled to do enough.

The Plastic Free Challenge

WALT find out some of the causes, effects, and solutions for plastic pollution.

Me and my  group read a book called  plastic free challenge.The thing that I found hard was doing the links.The thing that I found easy was doing the writing.I think that the way I can extend myself next time is putting in more information.The thing that I found a little bit sad was learning that only 5 percent of plastic is recycled.

    

Wasp-The striped invader

WALT find out some interesting facts and information about wasps.

The striped invader is what I have named one type of wasp.They are not like a normal wasp just you wait and see.The striped invader is really fascinating.

At first when I started to make the slide it was very hard because I had forgotten a lot about how to prepare a slid but when I started it became easier and easier when I finally got the hang of it I was really enjoying it.

I found the writing easy because my class has been doing a lot of it.I enjoyed finding out what a quality blog post needs.

Kawa of Care

We are learning about the Kawa of Care. The Kawa of Care tells us how to manage our devices at home and school. This is an agreement between students, whanau and school.
