We have been learning about navigating. I decided to focus on clouds here are some facts that I found out .

The thing that I found tricky was probably also finding the facts because The website that we used didn't have many facts that on clouds and the one or two that they did have were very hard to understand.

The thing that I enjoyed was scanning  for facts in our group reading book.(I love books.)  

Kuaka

 We are learning to use visual language features to support our understanding of the ideas and information in the text.

The thing that I enjoyed was the feeling I got when found heaps of interesting words.It felt like a warm tingly feeling like snuggling into a warm woollen blanket on a cold day.

The thing that I found tricky was finding the information.I couldn't find any information that interested me, until I found these three facts.

Tuia Matauranga Roadshow

 Yesterday we went to the Tuia Matauranga roadshow. We learnt a lot about stars. I learnt that the constellation of Maui's hook is real. There was a virtual reality station, i-pads and a really cool star map. We could even do a bingo sheet and the coolest booklets we could ever imagine. There was even a table where we could make modules of waka. My favourite thing was probably the virtual reality station.

Matariki

We are learning all about Matariki.

What did I find interesting?The thing that I found interesting was learning that there are actually 500 Matariki stars.You can only see seven with a naked eye.Why did I think it was interesting? because I  had no idea that there was more than seven. Was there anything that surprised me in my learning?Yes there was the thing that surprised me while I was learning was that ,I was really good at getting on with it.even when people were distracting me a little bit.Learning Reflection-What did I do well? The thing that I did well was doing my star. What was tricky?The thing that I found tricky was making my kite because it kept going all lumpy.What could I do better next time? I think I could improve myself next time is making my kite more creative. 

   

Celebrating Puanga at Ramanui

WALT find out what students at one school do to celebrate the Māori New Year. WALT to use the main ideas to summarise the text.

The thing that interested me was learning that in Taranaki you cant see matariki.The thing that I enjoyed the most was doing the reading.The thing that surprised me was that puanga marks the start of the moari new year.The thing that I found hard was the writing because I kept getting distracted.The thing that I found easy was doing the rereading.The thing that I think I can extend myself in is the writing because I struggled to do enough.

The Plastic Free Challenge

WALT find out some of the causes, effects, and solutions for plastic pollution.

Me and my  group read a book called  plastic free challenge.The thing that I found hard was doing the links.The thing that I found easy was doing the writing.I think that the way I can extend myself next time is putting in more information.The thing that I found a little bit sad was learning that only 5 percent of plastic is recycled.

    

BUBBLE SNAPSHOTS & MEMORIES

We are sharing memories from our lock down bubble.
My class has been making goggle slides about our bubble memories, what we did,missed,what we will miss,how we felt,the thing we liked most,who was in our bubble,the most interesting thing that happened in our bubble and our favourite memory. The thing that I did well was doing the writing because I have been writing heaps.The thing I found tricky was inserting the images.

Wasp-The striped invader

WALT find out some interesting facts and information about wasps.

The striped invader is what I have named one type of wasp.They are not like a normal wasp just you wait and see.The striped invader is really fascinating.

At first when I started to make the slide it was very hard because I had forgotten a lot about how to prepare a slid but when I started it became easier and easier when I finally got the hang of it I was really enjoying it.

I found the writing easy because my class has been doing a lot of it.I enjoyed finding out what a quality blog post needs.

Flamingos

My passion project is about flamingos.I chose to do my passion project on flamingos because they are one of my favourite animals!!one of the most interesting facts that I found out was that flamingos get their colour from the food they eat!

It was almost time for our assembly. We had been standing outside for  a little while and finally we heard the starting bit ,Tuva-Lisa spoke then Atama  and then Alani then the trailer went on. Finally the music started and we all danced. All of me was nervous .All us Actresses and Actors danced  to the front and went behind a board. I was 100 percent happy we had to sit still. It was very annoying!.My favourite act was where Millan,Hori and Kaiora stole Zions,Mihi's and Kodas chromebooks!!!.now it was almost my group's turn I had butterflies in my tummy. Finally it was my group's turn.We went out  me,Kaydee and Carrie sat down on the chairs and Lucy stood up.This is what we said Lucy,today we are going to do mathletics.me,Kaydee,Carrie okay.Me hey Carrie hey Kaydee hey Carrie should we go on the cute hamster videos. Kaydee,Carrie yeah go on. Kaydee look the teachers coming go of. Lucy wow girls your great at mathletics go back on to cute hamster videos. Lucy sneaks up Lucy NO NO NO!What on earth are you up to. Lucy what what what shuts chrome books Me, Kaydee and Carrie gasping.

We are learning to save water because there is a drought and we have water restrictions. This means we have to use less water at the moment because demand is bigger than supply.
