Our water funday

 Recount of our Water fun day.

Yesterday we were told to get changed at lunchtime into our togs. We knew why our school was having a water fun swim that afternoon and everyone was allowed to play in the water for the whole afternoon.  Sir had set it up because we had been super duper good students that year.  I couldn’t contain myself as I got changed.  I was so jiggly that I kept dropping my togs.  The afternoon finally arrived.

 First of all I went on a slippery water slide.  On my first turn it was fine but on my second turn I accidentally put my head on the soapy mat.  I ended up covered head to toe in soap.  Feeling a little bit embarrassed I went to the juniors playground to see if there were any activities.  The two little blue slides had water on them so I had a go on one of them because of the soap from the slide I sped to the bottom.  If I was on the road I would’ve been pulled over that's for sure.  After a few turns on that slide I walked over the court and onto the field.  There was a very big water slide there.  I decided to have a go.  When my turn came up I ran as fast as I could and dived onto the mat and shot down the mat and stopped just after half way.  I had three turns on the water slide and went to the pool to clean off.  I had just hoped in when I was hit in the head by a ball thrown by a boy in Te Kauru.  I whipped around to see who threw the ball but due to the crowd I couldn’t spot the boy from Te Kauru.  After that I wandered down to the end of the pool I just reached the end when Cassidy pounced on me.  Cassidy and I soon started to play tag and Reina asked to join in.  After 20 minutes of playing tag I got out , And headed to the blue slide on the seniors playground. The idea for this activity was to slide down the tunnel slide and fly out onto the yellow mats down the bottom and slide to the end of the yellow mats.  There was a sprinkler at the top of the slide to create a little stream of water.  When my turn arrived Sir shouted,’’Next!’’ and I jumped into the slide and came flying .

out and landed on my bottom, ‘’Holy moly that hurt!’’  I had five turns on that and then wandered over to the pool for a little swim.  Suddenly Cassidy jumped up and asked if we could play tag again so we played tag for ten minutes and then the bell went.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     

Conclusion

I was feeling full of joy when I hoped out and went to get my towel and clothes. That was one fun day that I would never forget.
